The 2026 Jabulani Challenge is nearly here! We can’t wait to see you at Bobbin Head on Saturday. This email contains all the important final information for event day, please read through it carefully.
MANDATORY GEAR:
We would like to remind all runners that they must carry at least 500mL of fluids for their race. We will be checking your water capacity at registration – please bring your flask or hydration pack with you when collecting your race bib. No flask = no race bib.
RACE BIBS:
Race bibs will be available to pick up from registration on Saturday morning from 6:30am. You will need to know your race bib number for collection. If you did not receive your race number by email click the link below to download the runner list and find your bib number.
SAFETY BRIEFING VIDEO:
The event safety briefing is below. All runners should watch the video for important event briefing information. As mentioned in the video the event will be a ‘trickle’ start, 2 runners every 5 seconds to help prevent congestion and bottle-necks on course. Please make use of the ‘time target’ signs that will be displayed in the start area.
EVENT PROGRAM:
The Event Program is available via the button below. This important document has all the information you need about the race including the event schedule, location, transport, race bibs, registration and aid stations. Remember there is no temporary food or beverage vendors at this event so you are encouraged to be self-sufficient for the event and bring everything you need with you, or make use of the two cafes at Bobbin Head, one next to the NPWS Visitor Centre and one within Empire Bay Marina.
PARKING & SHUTTLE BUS:
Please be aware that parking is limited at Bobbin Head where the event start/finish is located. Carpooling with your fellow runners is a great way to reduce congestion and means you can share the epic trail stories on the way home. Remember your entry does not include the $12 per car NPWS parks use fee. You must pay this at the toll booth when you enter the park or at one of the parking machines in the park. Park Rangers will be out and about.
If you are parking in the overflow parking area at Apple Tree Bay please park in marked car spaces only and avoid the areas marked for cars with trailers. Local rangers patrol this area regularly. A shuttle bus will operate between Apple Tree Bay and the event centre throughout the day.
If you have pre-purchased a seat on the shuttle bus from Turramurra Train Station, those busses will be leaving at 6am, 7am and 8am to arrive in time to register and warm up before the race starts at 7.30am, 8.30am and 9.30am respectively. The bus will depart from the Rohini St Bus Bay across the road from the train station and drop you off right near race registration.
We look forward to seeing you on Saturday!
