Jabulani Challenge

Saturday 6th August, 2022
Ku-Ring-Gai Chase National Park, NSW

The Jabulani Challenge trail run is nearly here and we can’t wait to see you at Bobbin Head on Saturday.

The Event Program is available on the button below. This important document has all the information you need about the race including the event schedule, location, transport, race bibs, registration and aid stations. Remember there is no temporary food or beverage vendors at this event so runners are encouraged to be self-sufficient for the event and bring everything they need with them or you can make use of the two cafes at Bobbin Head, one next to the NPWS office and one within Empire Bay Marina.

The Event Safety Briefing is now available on the video below, please ensure you watch this video prior to attending.

As mentioned in the video the event will be a ‘trickle’ start, 2 runners every 5 seconds to help prevent congestion and bottle necks on course. Please make use of the ‘time target’ signs that will be displayed in the start area. Also, to help prevent the spread of Root Rot (Phytophthora) all runners must attend with clean shoes, no residual mud or dirt from your last training run! We will then have a foot wash station for all runners to go through as you enter the start area, please help us prevent the spread of Root Rot by making use of the foot wash station.

Please be aware that parking is limited at Bobbin Head where the event start/finish is located. Runners are also strongly encouraged to carpool with fellow runners to help reduce congestion. Remember your entry does not include the $12 NPWS parks entry fee. You must pay this at the toll booth when you enter the park or at one of the parking machines in the park or otherwise you will risk a fine. If you are parking in the overflow parking area at Apple Tree Bay please do not park in the areas marked for cars and trailers only otherwise you will be fined by the local rangers.

Instead of driving why not make use of the shuttle bus service that is being provided from Turramurra Train Station. Leaving from the Rohini St Bus Bay across the road from the train station, the shuttle bus will take runners directly to the start line. The buses will leave from Turramurra at 6am, 7am and 8am, getting you to the event centre in plenty of time before the official race start times of 7.30am, 8.30am and 9.30am. Simply look for the marked bus. You will need to BOOK IN YOUR SEATS BEFORE RACE DAY through your entry registration online at and going to your entry in your MyEvents portal. There is a charge of $1 per seat for the shuttle bus. Ensure you select the correct number of seats required as this will impact the bus charter service capacity.

The final runner list with all race numbers listed will be sent out tomorrow (Friday) morning to assist those that haven’t received their race bibs in the mail enjoy a smooth pick up at registration on race morning.

We look forward to seeing you on Saturday!
