Jabulani Challenge
Saturday 2nd April, 2022
Bobbin Head, NSW
That’s right, we are good to go!
After an extensive check of the course today, including seeing first hand the work NPWS are doing to help make the event go ahead, we are excited to announce that the Jabulani Challenge is all set to proceed this Saturday.
With rain forecast on and off for the rest of this week, and on Saturday, you can expect to get your shoes wet – but this is trail running, don’t let damp socks stop you!
NPWS crews have been out on the course today clearing fallen trees, and they are scheduled to continue this work all week. To give NPWS the best opportunity to clear the course by Saturday, and to ensure the best experience for all runners, we have made the following decisions:
- the 22km and 12km courses remain unchanged, including trail favourites the Warrimoo and Gibberagong tracks.
- the 45 km course will change, see details below.
While the trails will be wet underfoot, and you may need to navigate around some new obstacles, we know many of you have been looking forward to and training for the Jabulani Challenge. We don’t want anyone to miss out on the opportunity, so get your gear ready and we will see you on the start line!
If there are any further updates we will let you all know as they come to hand, otherwise keep an eye out for the Last Minute Info Newsletter later this week including the pre-race safety briefing video.
We look forward to seeing you all out on course this Saturday!
