EVENT PROGRAM

race schedule
The event schedule will be confirmed in the official event program released two weeks before race day on this website. For purposes of planning, below is the proposed schedule for the Jabulani Challenge. Any last minute changes will be included in the Event Program and updated here prior to event day.
mandatory gear
You will need to carry a minimum 500ml water bottle or hydration pack (or similar) to refill at the Aid Stations out on course.
There will be NO CUPS at the aid stations. No other mandatory gear is required however we recommend all runners carry a mobile phone, basic first aid supplies and clothing to suit race day conditions.
Mandatory gear may be checked at registration or out on course. Runners without mandatory gear will be disqualified.

race bibs
All runners will collect their race bib at the Registration Tent on the morning of the event. Check the event program for registration opening hours.
You will need to know your race number to collect your race bib, this will be emailed out on the Thursday prior to event day.
Race bibs are mandatory for all distances and should be worn on your front at all times. If you have any concerns please speak to one of our friendly staff when collecting your race bib.
Anyone found to be running under another person’s name (race bib) will be disqualified and banned from future events, as will the original runner. Entries must be transferred to the new runner at the registration desk before the event.
aid stations
There are three marshalled aid stations along the course, see the 45km, 22km and 12km course details for distances. At these stations, trail runners will have access to the following:
- First Aid
- Water
- Electrolyte Sports Drink
- Selection of fruit
- Selection of lollies
- Potato chips
TOILETS
There are toilets at Bobbin Head at the start/finish area – both event portable toilets and National Parks toilet blocks. Portable toilets are available at each aid station. On the 45km course there is also a toilet in the Wildflower Gardens 70m further on from the turnaround point.
For the comfort and wellbeing of all runners, women’s sanitary products are available during the event. If you need any supplies, please feel free to ask any staff member or volunteer at registration, at an aid station, or at the finish line.
safety on course
Please be aware you will be running on public trails and roads open to other traffic. Event staff and volunteers will be present to assist at road junctions and crossings but it is your responsibility to lookout for any pedestrians or vehicles. Please stay to the left hand side of roads and trails in public areas. Please obey all event, road and directional signage and always stay on the marked trails.
First aid teams will be located around the course. If you or another runner need first aid while out on course please make your way to the next marshal or aid station. If this is not possible please phone the emergency number on the back of your race bib.
Runners are expected to assist competitors who have injured themselves. If you come across an injured runner, provide assistance and ask a fellow runner to inform race officials at the next intersection, please make sure you inform race officials of the injured runner’s race bib number. Times will be adjusted to compensate for any time lost while helping fellow runners.
