Saturday 6th August 2022
Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park, NSW

The Jabulani Challenge features an early start for all runners, so please allow yourself plenty of time to arrive and settle in on the morning of the event.

Runners should also be aware of the National Park opening and closing times and be aware that there is no overnight stays available at Bobbin Head including for caravans and campers. More information is available HERE.

Book in a Bus Shuttle Transfer

Runners are encouraged to use public transport (we recommend checking Trip Planner for the most accurate and up to date information), as an alternative to driving to the event and a shuttle bus will run participants from Rohini Street Bus Bay at Turramurra Train Station to Bobbin Head and back to Turramurra Station after you have finished your race. The shuttles to the Start line will run on the hour (6:00am, 7:00am and 8:00am) to allow runners plenty of time before the race starts to complete registration. Please note the bus shuttles can take up to 30 minutes to the Event Centre, dependent on local traffic in the area. The bus shuttles back from the Event Centre to Turramurra Train Station will start again at 11:30am in 30 minute intervals. The charge for the shuttle bus is a nominal $1 fee. Full details will be released in the Event Program sent to all runners two weeks before the event.

You will need to BOOK IN YOUR SEATS BEFORE RACE DAY through your entry registration online at and going to your entry in your MyEvents portal. To book your seats you need to go to Merchandise and you can then select the shuttle transfer. There is a charge of $1 per seat for the bus transfer. Ensure you select the correct number of seats required as this will impact the bus charter service capacity.

Driving to the Venue

Competitors are also strongly encouraged to car pool with fellow runners to help reduce congestion.

Please note that parking is extremely limited at Bobbin Head where the Start & Finish is located. We ask all runners to carpool with fellow participants wherever possible. Please follow the directions of marshals and be courteous of other users as parking is not reserved for event participants. Signage will be in place reserving some car parking spaces for non-event participants. Runners are asked to please respect these signs and not use these spaces on race morning.

Please take care on the narrow and twisting road to Bobbin Head from both North Turramurra and Mt Ku-Ring-Gai when driving to the Start & Finish. Both access roads to the Start & Finish are very popular with cyclists, take special care when passing cyclists. Parking at Bobbin Head is limited and will fill-up quickly; overflow parking is available at Apple Tree Bay where you can either walk the short distance back to the Event Centre, or wait for the shuttle bus service that has been arranged.

Competitors are asked to give themselves plenty of time to park and register before their start time, especially for the 22km and 12km course competitors.

PLEASE NOTE: The $12 National Park entry fee is NOT included in your race entry fee. You must pay this at the toll booth when you enter the park or at one of the parking machines in the park or otherwise you will risk a fine.
